History

Genugten Agri Projects B.V. has years of experience in the design and construction of complete, modern livestock farms in the Netherlands and abroad.

2023

Opening state-of-the-art pig farm

Construction of a new turnkey sow farm in Hungary started in 2022. A unique feature of this project for 4080 sows is the two-storey shed. By equipping the farm with heat exchangers and heat pumps etc., it can operate without consuming fossil fuels. This leading farm was festively opened by the Hungarian minister of agriculture on 9 June 2023.

2020

Start of the first, large turn-key project in Romania

In the beginning of 2020 Genugten Agri started with the construction of a large turn-key project in Romania. The contract consists of building two complete pig farms for approximately 10,000 fattening pigs each. Besides the construction of the stables including technical installations, Genugten Agri also builds and installs the company roads, manure storage, water supply and fences around the site.

2019

New corporate identity and logo

In 2019 a new corporate identity and logo were introduced.

2018

Genugten Agri expands to Romania

In 2018 Genugten Agri expanded its services to Romania. Due to the favorable conditions and investment-friendly regulations in Romania, Genugten Agri expects to build more projects in Romania. Besides the construction of projects, Genugten Agri expect to deliver more stable equipment to farmers as well.

2016

Sven van Genugten appointed as managing director

Since 2016 Sven van Genugten officially takes part in the company and steps up to the position as managing director. As of 2016, he becomes the next Managing Director of Genugten Agri taking over from his father, Mari van Genugten.

2014

Sven van Genugten joins the company

In July 2014, the current managing director officially started working at Genugten Agri. Sven van Genugten starts in the position Project Manager Germany. Guiding a large number of projects in (east) Germany was his main task. To keep these projects running smoothly, Sven was in Germany for an average of 40 out of 52 weeks.

2013

Construction of the first farm in the Netherlands with a 50% closed floor

In 2013 the first fattening pigs farm in the Netherlands is build with a 50% closed floor in combination with cast iron slats. The application of this system greatly reduces emission and keeps the pigs dry.

2009

Genugten Agri expands to Hungary

Since 2009 Genugten Agri is active in Hungary and supplies building materials and stable equipment to the customers located in Hungary. To this day, Hungary is an important sales area for Genugten Agri due to the favorable regulations for agricultural entrepreneurs.

2008

Completion of the first newly build pig farm in the Netherlands

In 2008 Genugten Agri completes the construction of a complete pig farm in the Netherlands. Before building complete farms, the operations in the Netherlands mostly consisted of renovation, the supply and installation of new ventilation systems, equipment for farms and the delivery of building materials for the farmers that build their own farm.

2005

Dairy farm with more than 2,000 cows

In 2005 Genugten Agri started the construction of a large dairy farm in Germany. The dairy farm houses 2,000 cows in a total of 30,000 m2 buildings.

2002

Genugten Agri moves to a new location

In 2002 a new business premises was constructed and taken into use by Genugten Agri. The new premises has a large warehouse to store building materials and stable equipment. Furthermore, there is a spacious and well-equipped office in the same building. In 2002 Genugten Agri also started with the construction of a sow farm in East Germany, for one of the largest pig farmers in Europe. The sow farm is suitable for approximately 5,000 sows.

2000

Optimast-10.240

In 2000, a large new construction project was completed in Tarthun, Germany. It is the first company where an “Optimast-10.240” farm has been built. This type of farm is designed to build large-scale pig farms in a very efficient way. The farm consist of just one building with 16 departments of 640 pigs each. The farm houses a total of 10,240 pigs. In addition, the company has a large hall for the feeding installation and technical installations.

1999

First contracts with China-based manufacturers

In 1999 Genugten Agri lays its foundation for the production of its stable equipment in China. Genugten Agri designed several products that are being used in the construction of a farm or are used as stable equipment.

Genugten Agri always tries to think of innovative solutions for various livestock farms. The developed applications are often tested at the pig farms in which Genugten Agri is directly involved. If results of these tests are positive, the applications can be implemented on the farms of the customers. Because of this own personal experience, Genugten Agri can guarantee the efficiency and quality of the applied products and systems.

1998

First, complete building project

The first complete pig farm Genugten Agri constructed was in Lelkendorf, East Germany. The pig farms were completed and put into use in mid-1998. Genugten Agri also expanded its own collection of farms by adding two new pig farms in 1998.

1996

Construction of office and warehouse Genugten Agri

In 1996 a new business premises and adjacent warehouse were built with a total surface area of around 250 m2. In the same year, the second pig farm was bought.

1995

Agricultural fair in ‘s-Hertogenbosch

Genugten Agri was for the first time present at the agricultural fair in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Various products are promoted at this fair, including the in-house developed “Soft-Air” Ventilation ceiling.

In 1995 Genugten Agri also bought their first farm in Eastern Germany.

1992

Start of Genugten Agri

In the spring of 1992 Mari van Genugten started Genugten Agri on the Lieshoutsedijk. The company goal at the time; supplying ventilation technology in the Netherlands and surrounding countries. Because Mari van Genugten was internationally oriented, he saw business opportunities in East Germany. After the fall of the Berlin wall, many (old) state-owned companies were renovated (subsidized) in East Germany and Mari decided to respond to this by initially offering ventilation technology to these farms. This immediately turned out to be a great success, which was the start for a successful Genugten Agri.
